Amazing area, remote location near the beach and the river, and the pub. Big sized and contemporary unit with a contemporary decor.

Overall it was spotless and updated with a balcony. Coffee/tea makers, good heating, and a toaster in the room were useful. This accommodation had a remote setting to a cafe which was shut.

It had a lovely location not far from the very beautiful pebble beach, the Pancake Rocks which is a must at sunset and a forest like setting & later check outs. The breakfast I had was above average with fantastic views of the bay, ham and pancakes.

Clean and exceptional place with very honest staff with the member of staff. Stunning, incredible location on the wild west coast. Close enough to the rugged coastline, the beach-impressed and the center of the walkway.

The restaurant here was a lovely spot for breakfast and dinner, with prices that were just right. 🍴 having a cozy lounge, a toaster, and a radiator in the room was a nice extra touch.

The hotel was a superb base for enjoying a fabulous area, short walk to the beaches along the Tasman Sea, the coast against the Tasman Sea, and large trucks. It was a nice size with great beds, good enough for one night. A fridge and a microwave were nice. The location was absolutely fabulous and best possible, for example, Punakaiki Cavern was relatively close to the property. There was an award-winning restaurant nearby.

The breakfast was savoury and tasty with pancakes; the location was stunning! Location: the hotel was not far from engrossed in the fascinating early history and the beach and listening to the waves crashing at night and chips at a horrendous price.

This place has a fantastic location right by the beach and near restaurants and pubs, offering spacious rooms and a good-sized bathroom.

The stunning ocean view from our room made our stay at Ocean View Retreat truly memorable. It was a breathtaking sight to wake up to every morning. The clean and comfortable room provided us with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The bottle of Special Reserve bubbles and the provided flutes added a touch of luxury to our romantic getaway. The restaurant offered a delicious and enjoyable evening meal, although the cooked breakfast the next morning took longer than expected. Despite this minor inconvenience, the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. we highly recommend this hotel for its magnificent setting and enjoyable amenities.

The room was extremely pleasant and good quality on a ship with round windows and reasonably priced. Also, location was beautiful and fantastic, not too far from Pancake Rocks.

Needed a google map & discription of exactly where it was as we arrived in the dark and had to guess (if I didn't have some local knowledge it would of been much harder).

The location of the Ocean View Retreat in Punakaiki is absolutely beautiful and fantastic, just steps away from the wild beach and ocean. the room provided was of top quality and extremely pleasant, with a balcony offering stunning ocean views.

The location here is amazing, just a quick 5-minute walk to Pancake Rocks and a short stroll from the bus station.
